The area Resources, Standards and Infrastructures aims at fostering research in the field of language engineering and at optimizing the production of language resources.
These involve the adoption of standards, exchange of good practices for interoperability, recycling and re-employment of the results concerning the data and tools available.
The principal activities of this area are related to the definition of models for the creation, representation, extension and maintenance of computational lexicons, terminological and ontological repertoires, corpora and language technologies, but also to the implementation of technological solutions for the creation of a distributed and cooperative research infrastructure, in an attempt to establish new functions of access, interoperability, and sharing of resources and linguistic tools.
